One more, just ONE more view and my story The Raft will top 600 views here at Stories Space!
http://www.storiesspace.com/stories/general/the-raft.aspx
And to think it took less than two years!
It received an EP soon after it was published here: thank you again, Lisa, and thank you to everyone who read it, particularly to those who took the time to comment and vote on it. It might not seem like a big deal to some, but I'm pleased.

Congrats on reaching six hundred views, Gypsy. It's always nice to see those numbers go up! Bring on the next one hundred views!

Yes, a big congrats Miss Moth...and btw, you're now only 29,400 views away from getting a "Famous Story" badge...

Thabk you Lisa, it is nice to see the numbers go up. Six hundred was more exciting than 500 because it brings it (marginally) closer to 1,000. How's that for optimism?
Thank you Alan, and I know! It's that wee bit closer to a 'Famous Story' badge. However I think it's safe to say it's still light years away from getting there, lol!
Seriously, it's reassuring to know it isn't gathering dust.

I noticed you picked up about 30 views since you did this clever little post...just think, if you do something like this about a thousand more times, you just might get that "Famous Story" badge after all... I once knew a drinker who had a moderating problem...

A few of those new views came from the post on my Facebook page, I believe. One of the handful of folks who have liked my page whom I actually know in person mentioned that she had followed the link and enjoyed the story very much. Connect with Maggie

There is something to be said for Facebook pages, and FB in general btw...despite the criticisms of Facebook...and I know, it seems like they change stuff around just to annoy people...and the help section is essentially nonexistent...you have to consider there are over 500 million people on FB, or 1 in 13 people on the planet... You just have to figure out a way to get them all to like your page...go work on it Maggie... I once knew a drinker who had a moderating problem...

Thank you very much for this and if it is appropriate, thank the woman you know in person who read and enjoyed the story. I really appreciate this kind of feedback.
I had a feeling your help was beneficial in not just getting the view count up but in gathering a couple more votes on it as well.
Now, about one of my poems that is lingering at 295 views...
Actually, my poem Ode to a Rascal has a nice tidy 200 views.

It might not seem like a big deal to some, but I'm pleased. Wow. I posted this nine months ago, and The Raft is now up to 948 views. So it won't be long before it has 1,000.
And besides being the most popular story here and an EP, it is now available to be listened to in a very fine audio version done by a SS member and friend of mine.
So check it out, folks, and if you've already read it, read it again while listening to it: the link is below:
I hope you enjoy it, and thank you for reading/listening to it!

Thank you for pointing that out, James, and posting the correct link. I've now edited the first post so the link is working again.
