hello1 Hi everyone
A large sweet tea with extra ice would be great.
Those that have seen my blog on my wall know I'm dealing with
The heartbreaking loss of my dear sweet angel Mother.
We lost her at 2:30am EST she was in so much pain with so many health problems . Her heart just finally gave out. The ER doctor and nurses last night were rockstars . One of the sweet nurses gave up her break to stay with my mom until my sister could get out to the hostipal. He tried so hard to save her and he personally made the call to notify my sister of my mom's passing.
I know she is no longer in pain and is at peace so that brings me comfort. I'll be back to normal soon.
Being here among friends helps more than I can express.
Hug your loved close and don't be ever be afraid to overuse I LOVE YOU!
*moved the day old cookies to the emergency cookie tins behind the counter *
TODAYS OFFERINGS are my my mother's favorite cookies.
Chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter blossoms and oatmeal raisin cookies.
So both jars are filled to the Tippy top
*giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats *
Be safe everyone hello1

I am so sorry to hear about your Mum, Sara. I know how heart-breaking that is. So many Mum's being taking this year (Although mine was December).
I will take one of your mum's favourite cookies in respect for her.
There are always good memories and there are also blessings.
My Mum spent the last few weeks of her life in a nursing home. I am glad that she didn't have the additional torment that the Covid has caused.
Remember the happy times, Sara, for I am sure there were many. 🤗

Sarah, I am so sorry to hear your beloved mother has died. Please accept my most sincere condolences.

I hope in this terribly painful time that you, your family, and all those who knew and loved her can find solace and support from each other.

May she rest in everlasting peace, and that with time, the memory of her love for you brings you comfort.

We are still mourning with Sara for her mother.

I've got the coffee ready and the tea kettle is there for the tea drinkers. It is supposed to be up to 95F/35C degrees today. I will be going out in it to do some weekly shopping.

Everyone have a good day and tell someone you love them.

Hi my SS family
Y'all have left me totally speechless.
(and y'all know how hard that is I'm usually a chatterbox)
I don't have the words to express how much your love and condolences mean to me. You have made this heartbreaking situation so much easier to navigate through I know the grieving is just beginning but y'all give me strength to get through it without too many tears. I don't even want to think about where I would be without your love and support. I have friends here in my town that have been my rocks
I will always be grateful for the love y'all have given. I'll update y'all on what's going on today's hard thing was signing the cremation form from the funeral home they had to email me the form the funeral director wouldn't move forward without both mine and my little sister's signature. They wanted my sister to do the verification of the body but she wasn't strong enough so my awesome rockstar brother in law stepped up and did it.
Yikes i have rumbled enough.
The cookie jars are in good shape and the adorable mascots have fresh water and treats.
Stay safe and remember it's OK to overuse I love you

Thank you for the positivity, E. We are all feeling it, especially dear Sara.

The coffee is freshly brewed. A French roast Arabica. The tea would be your choice. I merely have the tea kettle hot.

We are finally going to have a kitchen renewal starting on Tuesday. The new stainless steel sink, new brushed brass faucet, and new lighting fixtures are waiting to be installed. Also, for the main feature, we found some stone tiles that will work fine on the countertops. I'm sure it will be beautiful. Our handyman says he is behind one day but can start on Tuesday.

We have had thunderstorms all night and this morning, just before walkies, it started pouring down with small hail. It stopped abruptly and I got Victor out and around then home again to let the rain continue as it will.

Hmmm. Butterflies should go well with my afternoon tea.

Summer weather has returned to my part of the world. Stormy in the morning, then hot and muggy in the afternoon. Figured it was a bit early for September-ish weather.

Trying to figure out if I should go to the office on Tuesday. The VP wants a meeting to be in person but I might be able to go in just for that meeting. Minimizes my mask time. And my new computer might be ready by then so I could pick it up and bring it home to work on setting it up.

Hope you're all having a good start to the week and extra big hugs to Sara! (hugs)

computer will be a nice to have but because of the work I do, I'll also be tied up for a day or so doing setup. My team just do a base install for me and then I load all the other tools I use.

I am drinking Duke of Earl. Earl Grey plus a vanilla cream.

It's good to know the place is open 24/7. I'll put on some fresh coffee now.

We are gradually selling off items in the house that we no longer need or use. This morning a buyer is dropping by to pick up the rowing machine. Get that out of the house. In the past week, we sold a china cabinet, some Sony speakers, and a VCR.

Our handyman should begin work on the kitchen tomorrow. We shall see how that works. I've had good luck so far with workers around the house.

We sold our treadmill and bought a rowing machine. In retrospect, probably should have stuck with the treadmill. Neither of us uses the rower much.

Time for afternoon tea. Kettle's on.

Well, the rower is gone. But there is still a treadmill in the garage. My wife is planning to continue using it after she gets her operation to implant the spinal cord stimulator for pain management. I doubt it will be used for several weeks after the operation, until she is back to normal, or as close as she will ever get. Now we are waiting for buyers for several more items, mainly antique furniture.

Time for some afternoon tea, for sure.

Waiting for the handyman to call. We should be starting our kitchen project today. I've got the coffee perking now.

It's gonna be a scorcher today and for the next week. But, thank goodness for air conditioning.

Fresh morning coffee. Tea drinkers are on their own but there is always hot water.

The workers will be here again today at around 10:00. Perhaps the countertop will be completed today.

Caesar was a chimpanzee. I don't know any gorillas from the new trilogy, but in the old series I'd be a General, either Ursus or Aldo.

Ontario had its lowest new cases since mid-March, which is good news but I'll need to see it being consistent before I'll start cheering. I mean, NZ was at 0 and still had a new outbreak so it ain't over 'til it's over as they say.

Made a pot of my Scottish breakfast tea which others are welcome to enjoy.

Sad trip to be making, Sara. Be careful and stay well. Pack some masks and hand sanitizer (we usually take the latter when we travel anyhow given the state of washrooms in some countries).

flower hi peeps
A beautiful but crazy busy day. I forgot how much work goes into planning a trip
Gonna get to go home for my Moms funeral and I leave Thursday and will be back on Monday its gonna be nuts the next day or so.
Gotta get the place straighten up and get packed
Carry-on is packed got all my clothes laid out that I want to pack .
It's gonna be just a short trip but it's okay.
I made sugar cookies since they are so quick.
The cookie jars are empty so I filled them to the tippy top with stars and paw prints cookies
They are diabetic friendly too.

Stay safe everyone!

Hugs for you Sara! I hope whatever airline you are flying is as strict about social distancing and mask wearing as Delta. Be safe and know your friends are thinking about you!

Scott Classic, I will join you in some Scottish breakfast tea, thanks!

Overcast day here on the beach. It's funny how blue the water looks when the sun is shining, but a cloudy, overcast day makes the gulf appear green. I just saw a flash of lightning so I guess it's a stay indoors kinda day.
