Greetings to all who enter seeking Inspiration and find only perspiration. Sorry about that. But in the 'seek and ye may find' category there is a pot full of fresh coffee, and a kettle just loaded with hot water for the tea sippers among us. Most of all, there's the contents of two cookie jars. Enjoy. OF WAR, AND PEACE, AND MARY BETH: my contest winner, honestFor Whom the Good Tolls an 'RR' and it's short, no kidding

Thanks, ever so, for the freshly brewed coffee, Bill. See if there are any overnight story submissions to get approved in your moderator's queue. I'll sit back and enjoy some java.

(to the tune of the Spiderman theme) Saturday, Saturday, Everybody loves Saturday Do we work? No we don't. Monday we will but today we won't, Hey there, Hey there, it's Saturday. (end bad singing) Getting some nice, summer weather to welcome Summer (solstice is this evening in EDT, I believe) this weekend. I would prefer it a bit cooler but that's coming Tuesday or so. Had takeout for the first time since Covid's arrival. Viet-Thai. They have added a fairly slick online ordering system that also lets you book your pickup time (to minimize the number of people arriving at any given time). No new cases in my area in yesterday's testing but we've been running around 5 a day recently so it's definitely not over yet here. Kettle's on and there's some David's Buddha's Blend (blend of white and green tea with jasmine and hibiscus) in the pot. Anyone else for tea? Good day to all. The coffee is now ready as well as hot water. Not a lot of activity here in the coffee house so I just have to sweep up some cookie crumbs, wash a few cups and glasses, and "Bob's your uncle." Have a great day, everyone. It is lovely out there.

Nice to catch up with everyone here!
We've had a windy day with odd glimpses of bright sunshine in between heavy showers. Typical Irish summer day then!
I'll grab a lemon and ginger tea and some of Sara's delicious cookies. Evening all!

Hello, everyone! My little one is talking more and starting to master potty training finally. I'm updating my blog with a new landing page and a video I'm about to film and maybe post to YouTube. I brought fresh apple turnovers for this lovely establishment and I'll take a frozen latte.

It's Tuesday. Do you know where your Monday went? ;) The coffee pot has been rinsed, rubbed and then refilled with the finest water to come out of the tap in some time. At the moment it is converting a big load of dark roast coffee grounds into (what else?) dark roast coffee. Once it's finished with that voo-do that it do so well, I'll get me a mug full of the stuff, grab a handful of Sarah' cookies and, now that the days are getting shorter, go outside and wait for the first 'blue norther' of winter. e OF WAR, AND PEACE, AND MARY BETH: my contest winner, honestFor Whom the Good Tolls an 'RR' and it's short, no kidding

The morning had a slight chill on it as I walked Victor. I'm sure that was welcome to him. He does not handle hot weather well. Nice coffee, Bill. Let's get this day on the road.

Sorry, I'm just passing through. No time to make coffee. I'm heading to the hospital for blood lab work, a CT Scan, and a consultation with my oncologist to discuss the scan results. I'll see you all later this afternoon.

So how you all are? Things seem to be a tad slow in the world of Stories Space. I've been of no help recently so don't mean to come off sounding like some self-righteous busy-body. If you wanna know, I'm more the don't give a flying buffalo chip ne'er-do-well type.) Just telling it like I think it might actually be. Think I'll crank up the coffee pot and tea kettle, then grab a few of Sarah's cookies, and sit outside to watch the Gila Monsters basking in the sun. All is well for me and my cancer at the present. The places that cancer was in the past are still "unremarkable" now. That simply means they cannot see cancer there. The spot on the ilium is still "stable" and again means it is not growing that they can see. This is all good. I won't be going back for another CT Scan and checkup until September. I'm having my last cuppa coffee for the day now.

Hello, everybody. I've been going to work every day this week at 4:30 am for 10-hour shifts to get the workload down. I want my Saturdays back, so I can start writing again and return toeing consistent on my blog and my writings. Hopefully, things can return to normal, and not only I can resume my creative outlet; I can resume house hunting. I think chamomile tea will be nice.

hi peeps A large iced coffee sounds yummy in the tummy right now. Was feeling cranky earlier but now it's all better. *peeking in the cookie jars * hmm no cookie bandits. *giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats * I hope everyone is having a great day and staying safe. Not much going on here today. Went for a soda with my friend Jolene and I might have a job helping her granddaughter learn how to read. Jolene and the girls momma have tried just about everything. I'll know in a few days.

Skunks and rabbits are all well and good but the wildlife down in your neighbourhood is another plane of interesting compared to here. We technically have rattlesnakes in Ontario but I never saw one until I went hiking in Zion. I did see a deer recently while cycling along a creek near my place. Wildlife envy aside, all is well here. Got some much needed rain last night with a fairly high probability of more this afternoon. Been a bit dry (but nice) the last couple weeks. It must have rained all night long. It doesn't often awaken me but whenever I woke up last night it was raining, and rather strongly. So it is a pleasantly cool day. The coffee is ready and there is always water in the tea kettle. I'll be working on some writing today. I'm hoping to get it done this weekend. Have a good day, all.

hi peeps A beautiful day here A large iced coffee would be yummy in my tummy. The sun is shining and birds are chirping their pretty songs. Not much going on. I went with my friend Dodie to check out a new coffee place its a locally owned cute little place it use to be an old bar/restaurant. The cool thing is that it still has the original bar from when it opened. It's a beautiful old building next time I go I'll take pics to share. It's called Junk and Java it's part coffee place and part antique store and oh the goodies they had. They even had old fashioned candy. The coffee there is good we got a caramel frappacunio. It's got a strong coffee flavor but so yummy. *cleaning out the cookies and putting them in the emergency cookie tins behind the counter and cleaning the crumbs out of the cookie jars * Today we have pretty sugar cookies shaped like rainbows ,suns and butterflies *filling both cookie jars to the tippy top and giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats * Stay safe everyone!

Great news from our Survivor. Of course his reward is to dancing with Ms Elizabeth while I try to train Vic to be my seeing eye guide dog. :) Congrats to Larry and keep on keeping on. Now about cookies, while it is a goodness to have both cookie jars filled with goodies, who, I ask, who has swiped all the crumbs? ;) Thanks, Sarah. That coffee joint does sound interesting. Of course this coffee place serves a coffee that is beyond compare with anything short of C-ration instant Nescafe' coffee-like fluid. . Think I'll grab some of those cookies and sip on that old-fashioned coffee while trying to dodge PTSD and sit outside to watch the scorpions fight.
