Howdy Folks. Sarah, I didn't see about your Mum as I haven't dropped in for a while. Sorry she is hurt but so glad she is on the mend. Hospitals are scary right now what all the shenanigans going on. My son's mother-in-law is a nurse on a Covid ward. Glad that the rest of you are seeming safe and reasonably well, at least avoiding the dreaded germ! I will stay just long enough to share a cup of java with you all and maybe pinch one of Sarah's cookies... if I may.

Technology is driving me bonkers. The new internet service went off yesterday. After hours so the technician was not on duty. I had no online capabilities nor any television. I finally went over to McDonald's and sat outside using their free WiFi so I could get to their site to report the outage. This morning I spoke to the technician (who is not on duty but talked to me) and found that the internet router may have reverted to its original network name and password. Why!! Anyway, I found that info on the back of the router and now am online. And the coffee is made. Have a great day, all.

Hi peeps Yikes no coffee.. No tea! A beautiful day here even if I did waste two hours of my time at the courthouse dealing with a pain in the butt ex and no one can come up with a plan that everyone can agree on. But anyways a made a fresh pot of tea and figured out the coffee pot so there is both when anyone shows up. There are sugar cookies in both cookie jars shaped like butterflies and hearts The critters have fresh water and treats too Enjoy your evening folks!

Good morning, all. I have the coffee all made and ready to pour, and the hot water is there for the tea drinkers. I took a quick rest after the heavy work of brewing coffee but I am up and around now.

Just catching up on everyone's news here. Glad your mom is improving, Sara (closely supervised by Tyson!) And glad you are back online, Larry.
All is find here. This week the weather has flipped from being hit and sunny to gale force winds, rain and being positively cold! Oh, the joys of an Irish summer!
I'll grab and coffee and a handful of those delicious biscuits, Sara! Hope everyone's having a good day.

Cynthia, so nice to see you today. Sorry the coffee was not fresh but there was hot water to brew some tea and I have the coffee in the percolator now. It's been rainy most of the night. The ground is saturated. Oh, I got in all of my plants. Now we shall see if they live or die. I told you the yucca I planted in a pot three years ago has a flowering stalk now? It popped out one day this week and will be lovely when it blooms right in front beside the garage. I planted another a year ago in the back garden. If it grows in the same manner I will expect another flowering stalk on it next year. Cheers, folks.

Nice weather here in Southern Ontario, if a bit too warm and muggy for my taste. Supposed to get cooler, though. Sorry I'm scarce. So many forums, so little time. All is well around here. Hope June is going to be an improvement over May, but I'm not seeing much evidence of it except in the weather. * find a pecan divine left * Perfect to with an afternoon green tea. I just read this on someone's Bio page! 'You know it's bad when you check the NASCAR calendar before you make Sunday plans with anyone'I don't see a problem there at all. Substitute F1 for NASCAR and that would be my Sunday too!. I wonder who's bio it is...

The new hospital protocols are hard to get used to. My middle son had been in pain for a while and finally agreed to let me take him to the ER. I was not allowed to go in with him. He's an adult but having him go in alone seemed wrong. Turned out he had appendicitis. I dropped him off at two-thirty pm and he had surgery at eight and was home by nine-thirty. When he was ready to be picked up they brought him down to our car. He's doing well now. It was a weird day. Thankfully it happened this week and not two weeks from now. We are going to the Outer Banks, North Carolina for a lovely week at the beach. My oldest son and his wife are going to be there and my middle son and his girlfriend. The youngest was going to come but his girlfriend can not leave Germany at the moment. Thankfully NC has opened its beaches. There is a lot of room on the beach to keep your distance. I have a stack of books to read beachside and board games to annoy my kids. It's turned hot and humid here, so I'll have a lemonade. Sarah, thanks for the cookies. I'll have a few and catch up on some reading. I hope everyone is doing well. Cheers!

It's nice to catch up, Gill. Things are returning to normal in a small way it would seem. Yes, Anna, I just heard that Nascar is starting racing again soon here at the Kansas City Speedway. That's sound interesting, right, Sara? My coffee is ready now. I'm just letting it cool before I enjoy it.

howdy folks A large tea would be great it's so warm outside. The birdies are chirping and even saw a family of bunnies this morning. Anna that would be my bio.. Lol Larry I'm excited for NASCAR to be racing at Kansas City . They are racing just with limited support staff and no audience. All the drivers and their teams are wearing masks. Some of them have been pretty cool. Gill I agree the hostipal protocols are hard when a family member is in pain and you wanna be with them. Hope your son is feeling better and YAY for a week at the beach! Now if baseball could get their act together I'd be a happy camper in that area too. I do have cookies today ! In Cookie Monster we have : butterscotch crunch cookies, cappuccino royales, cheery cherry chocolate bar cookies and ginger snaps In Big Bird we have cheery cherry chocolate cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, carrot cake cookies and lemon ginger snaps *filling the cookie jars to the tippy top and then giving the adorable mascots fresh cold water and treats * Hope everyone is having a great day and staying safe

It's another Monday mourning. Could be worse, I suppose. But dang if I know how. ;) The 'Inspired' coffee pot has been rinsed out and filled with whatever coffee was in the can under the counter and a generous supply of water. At the moments, it's converting all that into a brew that should be drinkable, with luck. Let us now contemplate the goodness of Sarah's cookies while filling our mugs to the brim with coffee or tea. Enjoy. OF WAR, AND PEACE, AND MARY BETH: my contest winner, honestFor Whom the Good Tolls an 'RR' and it's short, no kidding[/url]

Thanks for the fresh coffee, Bill. I'm starting on my second cup at the moment. Sara makes the best cookies. But we don't get a crowd in here so we are lucky that they don't disappear too quickly. Let's start the week off happily, folks.

I've just now gotten around to posting a note here this morning. The coffee was all brewed two hours ago and I was messing about on the internet. Still plenty of the coffee brew. I know that Sara was out shopping all day so she didn't stop by to fill up the cookie jars yesterday afternoon, but there is still plenty there for anyone who stops by today.

Hot and oppressive humidity has returned here. Not my favorite weather. Things are still the same around here. I can't see my parents and trying to manage my mom's health issues and my father's dementia remotely has proven difficult and frustrating. I had my first video appointment with my new doctor. It's an interesting way to handle things. They'll probably keep doing them even after restrictions are lifted. My youngest son attended the protests in DC four days in a row. I am proud of him but I was worried about his safety. They are now suggesting that anyone who was protesting get a corona test. He tried to schedule one but they won't do one around here unless you have symptoms. Hopefully, everyone will stay healthy so we can take our trip to the beach. Stay healthy and safe everyone. Cheers!

Gill, I hope you get that family trip to the beach, sounds like you really need it! (hugs)
Hi Anna, Bill, Larry and Sara!
It's raining here again in Ireland, surprise, surprise. It's meant to dry up sometime this afternoon, so I can get my washing on the line!
I'll grab a coffee and one of Sara's world-famous cookies!
