Thanks for the welcome, guys! It's nice to have a spare moment to pop on here and catch up. :) Hello, Larry! *waves* Morning, Scott! Sara, that is the best news about your momma. So glad she is recovering well. Tie long weekends to a sport that requires a long weekend to finish a match. Good day, all. Nice weather here in spite of a forecast that insists otherwise. Tea and cookies time. How y'all are? Me, I'm now well and truly elucidated, at least about 'Bank Holidays' by our chief of elucidation, Henrietta. Many thanks to her and to Larry and Scott for not getting in her way. ;) Now to fill my mug with hot coffee and then check out the cookies situation. hi everyone It is a beautiful day outside even if its a little windy. The usual Memorial Day celebration in my town were cancelled because of the coronavirus but people seem to be finding their own way to celebrate the fallen. I think the neighbors are planning a BBQ. A large sweet tea pretty please Happy Memorial Day I have extra special Memorial Day cookies they are decorated with the uniforms of the branches of the US military. They are diabetic friendly. *fills the cookie jar and leaves a plate on the counter * *giving the adorable mascots fresh water and special Memorial Day treats* *update on Mom she will go home possibly tomorrow. Her blood sugar today concerned the doctor and the flooding that happened earlier this week isn't helping the situation of travel... It's a MESS there * Other than that not much going on here. Remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom..jpeg)

Morning everyone!
I will grab a coffee and one of Sara's delicious cookies. Hope your mom's blood sugar has normalised and her doctor is happier with her progress. And the floods looked terrible! Keep us posted, Sara. Great to hear there's another Scamp story on the way!
A hazily sunny day here today and looks like it will be warm-ish too.

CURVY! I'll add a big 'Amen!' to everything you posted, especially the news about Sara's mother. And since you finished off the pot of day-old coffee, I'll rinse it out and fill it with some off-brand coffee Mr. Mendalla left under the counter. Pristine 'Inspirations' water has been added to the coffee pot and the tea kettle. So if it meets with your approval, I'll grab some cookies, fill my mug with the new coffee and then join you. The rest of y'all do the best you know how. OF WAR, AND PEACE, AND MARY BETH: my contest winner, honestFor Whom the Good Tolls an 'RR' and it's short, no kidding[/url]

Good morning, all. The coffee is freshly brewed with Arabica. And, of course, we have plenty of hot water for the tea drinkers here. I was ecstatic yesterday when I came up with a fix to my computer. I had already made an appointment to have it worked on at a business over in the Kansas City metro area. Anyway, it is working now. I keep forgetting how dependent I am on this computer working right. Hope all are having a great morning or evening, as the case may be.

Glad I am to hear your 'puter has gotten back on the straight and narrow. Someday, I'll get a VA BROS (blind rehab outreach specialist) to stop by and set up my new computer which remains boxed and waiting to be assembled in a VA approved manner. This here 'Lockdown' is a drag. ;) Good coffee, Larry. Great cookies, Sara. Y'all have a great day the, Stories Spacer, way. So we have a new 43 inch television. To go with a new internet and television service being connected this morning whenever the technician arrives. It is just so very complicated for me. I need that coffee. It is finally brewed and ready. Now, sit back and wait for the installation person.

Sarah, I am glad your Mom is at home now. Hopefully, she'll recover quickly. Larry, I feel your pain. When we get new electronics we have my oldest son come and set everything up. When he comes to visit I usually have a list of things, computer-related I need him to fix. At least he keeps his eye-rolling to a minimum. My excitement today was going to the ATM to deposit a check. The next most exciting thing was turning on the AC in the house. I'll have a few cookies and some lemonade. Cheers!

Well, it's a new day, ladies and gents. Time for fresh coffee and the tea kettle is on, as well. As you can see I am active here this day so my internet service and WiFi seems to be working fine. The wire out to the fiber optic cable still needs to be buried so the mower has been avoiding it nicely for the time being. This morning we expect to get two more boxes from UPS and we can hook up the televisions. Actually, from the schematic, it appears that it won't be too difficult for us to figure out. Anyway, fingers crossed for now.

Exciting Larry to get new things. Just hoping "appears that it won't be too difficult..." doesn't cast a black cloud over your house. Today is hot and super muggy. And I decided this was a good day to work outside on the back porch. I had gotten all my plants for the flower pots and planted them. Then checking them this morning I see where a squirrel (huge scary things) dug up a germanium! So began the outside work. Had some epson salts that is to be used on plants, so read the directions and I'll see if they live or die. Had windchimes hung on one side of porch with hummingbird feeder and suet cake holders. Last night or early morning? Suet cage and all is missing from the chain. The hummer's water probably needs changing. I have all these friends and neighbors with tonnage of hummingbirds every year, I have only attracted one and now he's left. Another chore for outside. Sara so pleased about your mother and hope she continues to get stronger. I will have 2 cookies, no...wait, 5 cookies. And iced tea please.

FIVE cookies!!!?? Sweet mother-of-pearl! Ms Elizabeth has done gone and plundered the cooky jars. (scurrrys over to double-check for any remaining crumbs and broken bits -- discovers there's more than plenty of Sara's cookies left sighs in relief, and takes ONLY three for personal consumption, honest) ;) Now for coffee. Larry my tech news is almost as good as yours. On Monday, Karl, my VA blind rehab outreach specialist (BROS) will stop by to install and fine-tune my new 'puter. Poor guy told me yesterday that he will, by VA command, show up in full PPE regalia. The neighbors have been warned. Y'all keep on keeping on. It's a great sign that at least some of our present governmental entities are taking the pandemic seriously. For all of our sakes, Bill. So happy that your installer will be wearing the proper gear. Encouraging to say the least, and surely he'll get it all set up for you properly. For us, we have one television actually working and we need to get two more working when we receive the equipment. Lovely day out and the coffee grounds are working there way into becoming morning brew. Settle in and have some perk up drinks, friends.

We're getting the coffee house set up, Victor and I. I've got the coffee brewing and the teakettle is on. We've had our morning walk and now it is time to lick paws. At least, that's what Victor is doing. I'm waiting for the coffee to brew. Let's be careful out there.
