Along the lines of coffee shop music, who knows Lissie? Like this?

New one on me, Anna, but thanks very much for the intro. Love that voice. She's perfect for covering Stevie Nicks, eh?

I've noticed there's a lot of good Fleetwood Mac covers going around these days. Really highlights how strong the writing was in that band during their prime.

Absolutely, Scott. This was what drew me to her at first but she has since shown what a natural acoustic talent she has.

How you all are? Ms Zing, that was a great post. Of course, dang near any post with a link to something by Joni Mitchell is a goodness. Combine that with the news about your 'Long Road Home' series and it becomes outstanding. :)

In the midst of my semi-brilliant blathering the coffee pot has been rinsed out, and resupplied with fresh water and medium roast 'Morning Blend' coffee and has just finished converting that into caffeinated ambrosia. Meanwhile, the tea kettle has hotted up a generous supply of water for our tea and coco users. Enjoy.

We did love Joni Mitchell back in the day.

Hello, all. Thanks for the coffee once again, Bill. You are not drawing double duty are you, both here and yonder?

I'm ready for some coffee that's for sure. How's everyone doing with their masks now?

We stabilized here in my county for the past two days.

Good afternoon. Housecleaning done, yard raked, just taking it easy and listening to some Lissie (see AnnaMayZing's post upthread).

Brewing some green tea and taking some of Sarah's cookies for an afternoon snack.

We've had record numbers of positive tests (21/day) the last two days here in London, Ontario but the province racked up a huge backlog early on that's been clearing out with new lab capacity coming online so some of the "new" local cases could be old and now recovered.

Confirmed cases: 134

Deaths: 5 confirmed

Recovered: 15 confirmed (i.e. had two negative tests more than 24 hours apart)

Hospitalized: 22, 10 in ICU

Whilst we sit back and relax with a double espresso, how about a little original Joni?
This is one of my favourites for it pure quirkiness. kekekegay

Can never have too much Joni Mitchell. Fell in love with her music back in the seventies when I was still a kid. I recall that in Grade 6, several musical groups from my school went up the street to a senior's home to perform for them and the choir did a setting of "Both Sides Now". Of course, Joni was still recording in that era and songs like Big Yellow Taxi and Free Man in Paris were getting airplay.

* puts another green tea on and listens to some Joni Mitchell *

In the late nineties, when I was first getting involved with Unitarian Universalism, a couple from the church I was going to at the time performed this for a child dedication.

All this talk of Joni has prompted me to bring out my vinyl copy of Court and Spark.
I am now doing some serious chillin' as the disc rotates at 33 1/3 RPM. Damn... drifting back to those hot, heady days of '76 as a teenager in London. Those were the days.
There is something so therapeutic about an LP playing. Such wonderful memories...

It's Monday. Sorry about that. The coffee pot has been cleaned, refilled with fresh water and medium roast coffee and then turned on, in an electrical sort of way. Do believe some of Sara's cookies are still available but their numbers may be dwindling, quick like. ;)

Y'all do the best you know how.

Thanks for the fresh coffee, Bill. I'll just sit here and relax this morning. I've written a little poem for my sister. I would love to see it posted soon.

It seems the virus has plateaued here in my county. No new cases for days. People seem to have believed that the disease is serious and they should treat it that way.

It is truly spring weather here. Even summer for a day or two.

In Cookie Monster we have : airy berry, almond kisses, pecan divines and angel crunch cookies

Morning has broken -- down, that is. How-some-ever, Much to the joy of everyone else who enters this hallowed hall later today, there are more cookies in the cookie jars than even the most gluttonus of moderators can consume -- try though he may. ;)

Both the coffee pot and tea kettle are filled with hot liquids which, if properly prepared, may help ease your way into the rest of the day. Give it a try along with some of the remaining cookies. Later, y'all.

Beginning a new day. It must be Wednesday because the mowers are moving about the neighborhood performing their weekly chore.

Morning, Larry. Thanks for the hot coffee that does such a superior job of complimenting Sara's cookies.

Big news here in the valley of the sun, is that your favorite blind mod, installed and then 'Zoomed' yesterday. The occasion was a meeting of my local Lions Club and all went surprisingly well.

Now please excuse me while I refill my mug and grab another cookie or two before wandering off into the desert.

A large sweet tea would be great
It's a beautiful day outside.
A quiet day here just hanging out at home with no plans to go anywhere.
I might curl up with my dog eared copy of Scarlett since I recently finished Home With The Wind
Still bored with the TV/dvds so I'll find things on YouTube to watch.

I did bring cookies to replenish the cookie jars
Sugar cookies and diabetic friendly sugar cookies shaped like BUNNIES AND DUCKS!

*filling the cookie jars to the tippy top*
*giving fresh water and treats to the adorable critters *

Stay safe everyone! flower

Isn't "diabetic friendly sugar cookie" a bit of an oxymoron? dontknow (He says as he takes a duck and a bunny bunny ).

Though I guess "diabetic friendly Sugar Twin cookie" is a bit of a mouthful.happy8

So who took all the 'Sugar Twin' cookies? :( (grumble -grumble)

How y'all are? While the 'Sugar Twin cookie situation is regrettable, there are other fine examples of Sara's culinary cookie crafts-woman-ship just waiting to enhance the flavor of this morning's coffee (fresh pot) and hot water to our tea sippers. Enjoy.

Great to taste your coffee, Bill. Boy, it does seem like time is passing slower than ever. The odd thing is I am living my life pretty much the same way as always. I never did go out much.

The crisis here in our county is stable at the moment. I'm in need of some stablizing coffee, for sure.

It's Friday. May everyone have a blessed day and for my fellow believers, hang in there for Sunday will soon arise.

Thanks to Sara, there are a multitude of cookies just waiting to be consumed. With the coffee pot cleaned, refilled and busy turning water into hot coffee while the kettle prepares water for the tea and coco crowd, fine fluids are available to wash down those cookies. Enjoy.

Good morning. Nice to smell that coffee brewing. Can't wait to try a cup.

It was nice to see that Nicola stopped by today and added a new person to her friend list. It's always good to have the boss lady drop by.

We're getting the yard in shape for spring. Lots of leaves to clear out of flower beds. It needs to be a little warmer before I work out there too much.

The virus is stabilized here in our county for the time being. We have been so very lucky.

Good Afternoon and Good Friday!

Coffee is always good no matter if it’s in the morning, afternoon, or evening. It’s a beautiful sunny day in Texas. Bluebonnets are out but 🌧 is expected to be here tomorrow. A good day to go fishing 🎣 this afternoon. Enjoy the day, evening or night wherever you may be. Keep smiling and always have hope. Life is beautiful.

Thanks!
