Thanks for the coffee, Bill. It's certainly a happy day in the Chiefs Kingdom. We could hear the fireworks going off around the neighborhood as soon as the game was over. Victor has no problem with fireworks.

The only other super bowl win for the franchise of Texans/Chiefs was back in 1970. So, after a 50 year break, they now have their second title. Lots of happy and patient fans, for sure.

I just found out that the patient at our local hospital tested negative for the novel coronavirus. I reported a few days ago that they were concerned and had a patient in confinement. That patient has been found by the CDC to be negative for the virus. That's good news for local folks here. I knew everyone would want to know that.

Victor is happy. He's gazing out the second story window now, wondering when we are going for a walk.

Still plenty of coffee here.

Coffee's on. Discovered the cookies Sara dropped off and feel certain they'll add to the java's potability.

Y'all don't forget about the writing challenge Gypsy has flung upon us. Me, I have a story is the final stages of editing, rewriting and the usual ocd induced inner editor type tasks.

(slurp) Good coffee. (sounds of mastication) Even better cookies. ;)

Good day to all. I'm thinking of the newest challenge, Bill. It is actually a pretty broad subject to write about.

Nice coffee today. Helps keep out the cold.

We had a confirmed case here (one of 4 in Canada) but she was pretty on the ball and had isolated herself so no transmissions found so far. Which is good because she's a student at the local university where my wife is a prof. The other two in Ontario were married to each other. All three had just been to Wuhan so probably picked it up there. No one else tested has been positive, including others from their flights.

Still tossing around ideas for the challenge and reworking the other story I mentioned. Realized that I had kind of screwed over a main character with how I handled the first part of the story. And I like her too much to do that to her.

Tea as usual.

Good morning, y'all. Coffee's brewing, kettle's on. Mini-marshmallows restocked for hot chocolate. I'll leave the cookie jar to Sara, she's the expert, but I picked up an assortment of muffins for those seeking a late breakfast or brunch.

Pets are fed but make sure you fill their water bowls if you see them empty.

I'll just be in the corner with a tea moaning in agony (back trouble).

Good morning, Scott. Nice coffee. Sara will be by later this afternoon.

No idea what to write at the moment but ideas never seem to fail me. I'll get something done,

How-y'all-do? Thanks for the coffee, Larry. Give Vic and extra treat and say it's from me, if you please.

Scott, hate that you're in agony. As someone who went through two back operations, I 'feels' your pain.

Any 'Cookies by Sara' left? One or two would go right well with my second cup of coffee.

Stay warm, y'all.

Ugh. Mine's not quite that far gone yet. Was bad Monday and Tuesday, better yesterday, then kinda took a swing back again to day. Still not sure what triggered this attack. Did shovel some heavy, wet snow on Sunday so maybe that.

Sarah, thank you for the cookies. I love carrot cake but have never had the cookie version. They sound delicious.

Scott, I hope your back is better soon. I have had some issues off and on with my back since a car accident when I was a teenager. It's a hard pain to get away from.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

I'm having a quiet night. It is raining again but I don't mind. Kind of matches my mood these days.

I'm catching up on some television shows I've been missing. I'll take a ginger ale and some cookies to my corner to curl up in a comfy chair.

Cheers Everyone!

Hi, Gill! Nice to see you. I am not really sure what this traces back to. I have a few bouts of back pain due to various injuries, mostly lifting-related, over the years so probably more cumulative than anything.

Coffee and kettle are on, folks. And there's still plenty of Sara's cookies to nibble on.

hello1 hi peeps
Quiet day here waiting to see if I'm gonna get to the store today or not
The friend that was suppose to take me is waiting to see if she has to drive to pick up her husband since he's having trouble with his truck and is 3 hrs away. So kind of in a holding pattern with my day.
But I do have cookies
*putting chocolate chip and white chocolate chip cookies in the cookie jar *
A large coffee would be great I got up too early thinking we were going early today.
Happy Friday!

I'm on my afternoon green tea. A Japanese sencha, probably my favorite variety of green.

Starting a new draft of my story. It's going ... well, but I added a bit of a B plot that I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with. Just happened spontaneously.

Scott, I am looking forward to a new story from you.

Sarah, thanks for more cookies. I'll take a couple for later.

I'm still full from dinner. I made chicken gyros, with homemade pickled red onions, radishes and tzatziki sauce. I also made oven-baked seasoned french fries.

Now I need to figure out tomorrow's dinner and for every day for the rest of my life. It gets tiresome.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Cheers!

You're first and I'm last!! (well, unless Larry or Gill or someone saunters in)

Hmmm. From that list, I'll have a Peanut Butter Ginger Snap. Kettles on. Anyone else for tea.

Nothing much doing save packing for vacation. Jamaica looms. If I come back talking funny and wearing dreads (yeah right, like I'd ever have hair long enough), just ignore me. I'll get over it after a week or too.

Good afternoon, all. I spent a couple of hours looking at materials to use in renovating our kitchen. We are putting in new countertops, backsplash, lighting fixtures, and the sink with a new faucet. We are hiring a man to do the work with the supplies we have him get. It will be nice to have someone else do all of the actual work involved.

Nice treats today, Sara. I hope all of us can get some writing done soon.

The coffee is ready. Get it while it is hot. Not bad outside today. No white stuff coming down. That is good for my old bones right now.

How y'all are? Me, I was better but I'm getting over that. ;)

Coffee's on. And for the nasty nice types who may be among us, yes, the pot has been washed and filled with fresh, maybe even clean, water.

Now what we (and by 'we' I mean, 'me') needs is a batch of cinnamon rolls to help this coffee go down. That is, of course, just IMO.

Cinnamon Rolls? Ah'm on it, sir. I hate walking past Cinnabon in the local mall. That smell just makes me hungry. But I shall brave the temptation to get us a couple dozen of them beauties.

Kettles on for tea.

Oscars tonight. Anyone else going out of their way to avoid them or is that just me? (a) I have seen barely anything this year movie-wise and (b) awards shows (save some of the better music awards shows) bore me to tears. I am happy to just watch the highlights on Youtube and read the lists of winners.
