No doubt Larry's best birthday present yesterday was his KC Chiefs earning a trip to the Super Bowl thanks to a come from ten points behind win over the Tn Titans.

Coffee's on and being ingested by yours truly. Hurry up if you want some of your own. ;)

That was a great day yesterday. Now fresh coffee. What more do we need? Maybe some warmer temperatures. It is 15F/-9C degrees out there. Not necessary.

Thanks for all the wonderful wishes from friends on- and off-line. The best.

Is it just me, or does it seem like Tuesday to anybody else?

Thanks to Sara (and my being AWOL) there are cookies available to those who like the fool things. I'm told they go right well with coffee. Just so happens there's a fresh pot of the stuff that is now, not unsurprisingly, one cup short of a full load.

So grab 'em both and growl and/or guzzle and chew if that's what floats your boat. ;)

Good wishes for the day. I hope all are well today. I have to go out into 10F/-12C degrees weather. I need to get a CT scan at the hospital.

Be happy. Drink of the fresh brews.

Morning, Bill. I'll have some of the coffee and put on a fresh pot. We have a winter storm coming over us. It's started with just a bit of frozen snow coming down.

This would be a great day to write if I had one simple inkling of a decent story.

We'll have to wait until this afternoon for snacks. That is when the "Sara treat express" arrives.

Late right now to put coffee on. I think hot herbal tea or hot chocolate would be wonderful. So I will reheat the water if anyone else stops by. I can't resist a cookie and will chose one blindly by just reaching in Cookie Monster.

It's time for tea in the evening. I'm having a cuppa right now.

My CT scan was good today. Unremarkable and stable. I wish the news was similar on the TV. Unremarkable and stable.

And a happy TGIF to all. Coffee's on and despite my best efforts, there are a few cookies left in the jar.

Larry, glad your CT scan results were a goodness. Of course, the question of the day is just what did Vic think about you having a 'CaT Scan'? ;)

(slurp) Dang if this coffee ain't about as good as the cookie or two I've finished off.

So I just went out in the freezing weather to stock up on necessary items. I went to three stores. Now I am home for the day, and the week as well, I hope.

Putting on some water for afternoon tea now.

The coffee is on the stove. The tea kettles are as well.

Not too bad outside today. The roads and sidewalks are clear. Patches of snow left. Nothing new coming.

Sara left plenty of goodies in the cookie jars.

Morning to all seeking a safe harbor in the midst of the current stormy seas afflicting us. The coffee pot has been rinsed out, and is now busy turning a batch of New Orleans dark roast coffee and some fine water from the Breezy Hill artisian spring back in north Louisiana into coffee that will be, no doubt, supremo excellento. Enjoy.

And before you ask, no, there ain't no dang cookies. I done finished off all the crumbs and broken bits that was left. Sorry about that, honest. ;)

Seems like you and I are almost bumping into each other now and then, Bill. I hid some of the cookies just for this situation. I'll drag them out now and we can share when the coffee is ready to drink.

Forgot to tell you I was up late last night chatting with a friend about relationship woes. I got to bed at midnight. Not feeling too washed out. I will get a nap a little later.

The coffee is brewing, the tea kettle is on. Still, some of Sara's cookies left.

My wife is struggling with a cold. At least, I am hoping it is a cold. She will go over to prompt care to see if there is anything they can do. Mainly to make sure it is not the flu or some other horrid virus.

Take care out there, folks.

Morning, Larry. Keep us posted on your puny wife-unit's condition. Give Vic a pat and appropriately kind words. And in conclusion, thanks for the coffee and cookie crumbs. ;)

Don't blame you for being glad your wife is going to have that illness checked. This horrid strain of flu from China is frightening.

Good day. It is just at freezing outside and a group of men is going to be putting on a new roof two doors down from me. I can't imagine working outside all day in freezing weather. I'd put good money on betting that the crew is mostly hispanic/latino.

The coffee is brewing. Hot water is always a quick boil away.
