Congratulations Bill. A great-grandson is goodness hard to top.

Elizabeth I enjoyed the warm weekend but I did find a few stinkbugs had gotten in the house. My cats have learned to not bother them. They don't like how they taste or smell. By next weekend cooler more winter-like weather is supposed to return.

Larry, I hope your trip to the dentist was good.

I have a dental phobia which has caused me a lot of issues since I have had to have extensive work done to repair my teeth and jaw after surgery. I'm getting better at handling it or the anxiety meds are working.

Cynthia, I hope the winds have finally died down.

Sara, cookie jars are som much fun.

I made blueberry scones today. I'll leave some on the table. I also whipped up some honey butter to go with them. Enjoy.

I'll have a ginger ale before I head to bed.

Cheers everyone!

Some of my stuff.

Yep, this working full time again is for the birds. LOL

I should really clear all the stuff I have on my plate and work on that story that I started researching wood turning for. I ended up subscribed to five different channels that I've watched every video from, and ended up falling down a rabbit hole into sawmilling, restoration, and lock-picking from the recommended videos. It's a good thing I don't have anywhere to put the necessary equipment, because I'd probably have a lathe by now if I did. Then I'd be irritated because what little spare time I have isn't enough to write or turn some wood, instead of just writing alone.

Wonderful news on the safe arrival of baby Lawrence. Congratulations, Bill!

Hooe the dentist'visit how's smoothly, Larry!

And thanks for the blueberry scones, Gill. Yum!

Storm Brendan has passed over, thank goodness, so we just have 'normal' stormy weather for the next couple of days with 40 mph winds. I do envy you and Elizabeth your warm weather, but perhaps not the stink bugs...

Coffee to get me up and moving sounds great! I have a to-do list to work though today...

It is a dark and dreary day but at least it is 47F/8C degrees temperature which is not freezing. The fresh coffee is percolating. All went well at the dentist. I've had the same fellow for over 20 years. He would be great if only his hands did not shake.

Time to do the morning computer chores.

Morning, Larry. Glad your trip to the dentist (shaking hands and all) went well. Things have slowed down a bit here in the valley of the sun Is your neck of the woods getting cranked up for the Chiefs' AFC championship game with the Titans this weekend?

Good coffee.

The Chiefs nation is enthusiastic about their chances against the Titans, especially after that almost magical comeback last time against the Texans. The Chiefs and the Titans will play at Arrowhead stadium giving the Chiefs the home advantage as well. The weather conditions should be great.

It feels pretty good outside right now.

Edit: the weather forecast keeps changing. It may get worse before getting better. idea1

Good evening. Haven't been over here for a bit and thought I'd pop in and say hi. I'd love a hot tea before heading off to bed. Larry glad things went well at the dentist. I'm not a fan of them myself. My new grandbaby was at the ER tonight. He's finally heading home with exhausted and nervous parents. They will check the baby's counts again tomorrow and hope things are more normal. Have a great night everyone.

It is always scary when they are to tiny and there are any problems at all. I will be sending all the good karma your way to share with the kids.

Coffee's on!

Not much else to report. No doubt certain folks, such as Larry and Carl, will be pulling for the Chiefs. In the other game Tonya will no doubt be cheering on her beloved, 49'ers. Me, I'm totally neutral since my NFL team (The Saints) were once again knocked out of the NFL playoffs with another botched pass interference call in overtime. Fortunately my LSU Tigers won the college title last Monday so my angst has been slightly eased, just a bit, kinda.. :) So I'll be finding a comfy spot to listen to both NFL games and hope the players not the zebras decide who wins.

Good coffee this morning, even if I do say so myself. (slurp)

We really need the coffee today. It is absolutely freezing out there. The good thing is no precipitation yet. The rain/snow will come tomorrow and should be gone for the game on Sunday. That will be a clear day but incredibly cold for playing football. Temperatures will be below freezing.

Oh, the coffee tastes good.

TGIF greetings and welcome to this scene of old world culture and charm.

The good news is the coffee is ready for immediate consumption.

The bad news are are NO cookies.

The worst news is I'm still here, for now. ;)

Just let me grab another cup of the good stuff and I'll begin looking for other spots to infest.

Well, the world is covered with ice outside. It is going to be an interesting day. My brave Victor has been out in it twice now.

Great day for staying inside and drinking coffee.

Now we wait until Sara stops by for some hot chocolate, bringing cookies.

Fish-shaped and hopefully fish-flavoured. cat

Good evening. Another week over. Winter looms. We seem to have lots of sweets, but I've brought some savoury snacks. Sometimes those are better for evening munching (not to mention for those of with glucose issues). Tortilla chips with an assortment of salsas and other toppings. A big bowl of mixed nuts (with an allergen warning on the bowl). Wasabi and garlic roasted peas.

Probably my favorite Trek, even if I still love the original. The new Picard series seems intriguing but I suspect it will be more like Discovery than Next Generation in mood, which may or may not work for me. At least it brings Patrick Stewart back to Star Trek.

Good morning, everyone! I've come bearing gifts pf pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast and lots of bacon. A giant pot of coffee is brewing and I'm trying to flush (or is it flesh?) out the characters for a story that's written in fragments. It's not easy to write with a toddler trying to see what you're doing. I"ll be in the corner writing.

Sharon and Sara are temptresses two of taste, among several other things. ;)

Happy Birthday, Larry. While you have, like me, had a few of these in the past, being a 'Survivor' to another one is still an accomplishment. Hope you have a great day.

Thanks for the birthday thoughts, Bill. One more year. I've reached only 72 today which means you will always be my elder.

Nice to see you, Sharon.
