Oh, wow. My house has been waiting for me to vacuum for a long time. I won't tell how long.

Fresh coffee is brewing. It is rather nice outside today. It is a comfortable 52F/11C degrees out there.

Nothing really compelling needs to be done today. I'd best relax as the pup is doing beside me right now.

Morning, Vic. So how are you and your quality of life support member doing? ;)

Hope you enjoy your 'day off', Larry. Me, I got plenty of nuttin' on my calendar EXCEPT for the LSU vs Oklahoma game at 4:00pm (est). If my Tigers beat the Sooners, I might even check out the Ohio State vs Clemson game that follows it to get an early line on who LSU will face in the national championship game. Like I said, busy, busy, busy. ;)

hello1 howdy folks
Late drop in with cookies .. Hard work making football shaped cookies they are decorated in the team colors of the teams playing today... 8 different colors.. Lots of cookies in the cookie jar.

Special treats for the little adorable mascots too
Quiet day here snow and muddy outside so I'm not going out unless absolutely necessary.
Staying in with hot chocolate is a great idea

I don't have much carpet in my little place so I doesnt take too long to vacuum it but I usually just sweep it daily.
Happy Saturday peeps clapping

Good morning, Tiger. Nice to see you dropping in. I have fresh coffee ready now. And the tea kettles are full and ready to use.

Chilly Sunday out there. Nearing the end of the year. The next month's calendar is pretty bare so far.

How y'all are?

There's good news and bad news today.
The good news is it's the last Monday in 2019. :)

The bad news is it's still Monday. (

Tiger, Sara tends to leave most of us in a semi-catatonic state. A special greetings to someone who is sure to have another Tiger win the college football championship. ;)

Coffee's downright drinkable, Larry. Keep on keeping on and stay warm.

Me, I replied: Correct as usual superstar Sara. It must be a burden but you are handling it with poise and charm, or some such. ;) ;)

Right now the coffee is freshly brewing. All set for the morning rush.

Victor is taking an after-getting-up-eating-and-walking nap. I have set out five bags of second-hand clothing for the Vietnam Veterans of America to pick up.

Let's see what other trouble we can get into today.

Sounds to me like you are just naturally wearing out poor Victor. Proud of both of you for the contribution to the VVA clothes drive.

Sara's VaTech Hokies are leading Kentucky, by three points early in the fourth quarter at the BLK Bowl.

(slurp) Coffee's still potable. Many thanks.

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope 2020 is good to you all!

Mine got off to a great start with an annual party. Always good fun! No need to get moving for any reason today but I'll have a coffee anyway, if it's going! :)

Yes, coffee is on and the tea kettle is whistling.

Happy New Year's Day to all. I'm sure it will be better for all of us.

Well, seems we've made it through another year. (fills mug, sips from same, and nods) Considering the alternatives, that might prove to be for the best.

Larry, here's hoping you and Victor have a good day followed by something like 365 more. (drains mug and heads for a refill) Meanwhile, there are five stories waiting in the cue to be verified. Each year, it seems to get harder and harder for this hardly working mod to shirk that work.

It is so wonderful to have friends here that I can check on about every day. Sara the brownies (with nuts) must be a cherished old family recipe. So moist and delicious. I am hoping that all those on this site and the other have a peaceful and healthy New Year. Something exciting about typing/writing 2020. Everyone healthy over the holidays in my family and that makes for a nice time to be had. Hi, Victor honey. Hope Santa brought you a squeaky toy.

Yes Elizabeth the brownie recipe (with nuts) is a cherished old family recipe handed down my great great grandma Rose to her oldest daughter my great grandma Helen to my Grandma then to my mom and I had to beg my mommy with sad puppy dog eyes to get the recipe.
I hope you got everything you wanted from Santa :)

I hope everyone had a good holiday. I enjoyed having my kids home and a few days of little responsibilities. Everyone stepped up to make that happen. Back to reality now.

I am blessed that I am in a position to help family members. It is a bit exhausting though.

I'll have a ginger ale to sip on while I get some reading done.

Cheers!

The fresh Arabica coffee is brewing. The tea kettles are full. The fridge is full of drinkables. Sorry, no booze in this joint. None that I've found, so far.

I got to get some writing done this morning. The year is starting out well.

Sorry I've been scarce. I was on vac over Christmas touring Panama (nice country to visit but too muggy for me to live there, I think) and have my son home for the first time since last New Year's.

Hope you all had a great holiday season and have a great 2020 ahead.

My New Year's resolution, among others, is to try writing for this site more. Of course, I've said that before. * sigh *

Thanks for your 'heads-up' oh Dark one. The same thing happened to me. I've copied your message and posted it in the 'Mods Forum' so maybe someone above my job description can handle things.

And mega congrats to Sara for getting a 'Ray of Sunshine' badge on this, her birthday. Best I recall, Fuzzy and Rune along with someone whose name has slipped my mind also got 'badged'. ;)

The fourth recipient of the Ray of Sunshine is Etairay. Her name is not really in any language I recognize. flower

Time to get up and around. The pup is lying beside me as I wait for the coffee to brew. I just checked the calendar and nothing is coming up until Monday next week.

Morning, Victor -- you also, Larry, and thanks for the coffee.

No response the the post by Dark. If something pops-up on 'The Mod Forum' or a PM crosses the desk, so to speak, I'll pass the info along.

I've been having a lot of mainstream ideas float through my notes files lately, and some of them are quick little things. The rather unique category options here are proving to be a bit of an inspiration as well. So, I figured it was time to put SS back in my regular daily link-blinking rotation. A few longer fantasy stories as well, but those are probably off in the far-flung future. Too many things already on my plate already to do more than store those away in a notes file for later.

Dropping a few little funny memories from my gaming days for now, inspired by the memoirs category. Tinkering with a couple of the shorter fantasy bits. This feels like the logical place for those.
