I am currently binge-watching season two of Ozark and season one of Castle Rock. I loved the first season of Ozark. Castle Rock is really well done. You don't have to have read any of Stephen King's books to enjoy it. If you have, you will pick up on all the little easter eggs within each episode. Not sure yet where they are going with the show but it has been picked up for another season. If you like mystery, thriller, nonlinear time plots and intrigue you'll like Castle Rock.

I'm watching The Office... again. I didn't like comedy until I watched The Office. But now, I just watch it on a loop . It makes me smile and relaxes me after a stressful day.
Read, score, and comment on my very first story "Before My Eyes".

It isn't on yet but I am eagerly awaiting this one. I love the book and the first movie made based on it. I hope this series lives up to the advanced praise it has gotten.
As a big fan of Shirley Jackson I'm cautious about this one. Like you, I love the book and the 1963 version. I avoided the 1999 just on the basis of the word of mouth I heard. There's been good word on the show but I've also heard it diverges pretty wildly from Jackson's story. It is up as of today, I believe. In the end, I don't have a lot TV time but am itching to see if I can manage some of the short season shows (like The Haunting...) that are out on cable and streaming nowadays. Nothing, no television, so don't watch or know of any series or programmes.

I had a friend at school who took me home one Easter and I was astonished to find not one tv anywhere in their house. They seemed to be reading all the time, even when they were all together. I remember she had an elder brother who was a fantastic pianist. Listening to him play was the best substitute for the goggle box ever!

Most of my tv comes via the internet; Big Bang Theory and Dr Who on demand. Most goggle box viewing is to catch the news. If anyone reading this ever gets to visit New Zealand, turn on the tv and ignore the programmes. Just watch the ads. I don't knows what it is about that country but they make awesomely funny ads that are way better than any programmes! (Excepting Big Bang and Dr Who that is ) Must say I like the new Doctor.

I watched the first episode of the Doctor Who with the new doctor and thoroughly enjoyed it. Must catch the 2nd episode now!
I also was really engrossed by the recent adaptation of Vanity Fair. I'm not a huge fan of Thackeray for one, but also expected it to 'modernised' to the point where the story didn't make. Very pleased to be proved wrong. And the costumes were fantastic!

The buzz around Thirteen's first couple episodes has been quite positive. I am woefully behind on the new series (seen Eccleston and Tennant up to Martha Jones arrival plus a couple of the Tennant movies) but it sounds like her series is going to be fairly standalone so maybe I can get into it again. Currently eyeing Haunting of Hill House. The reviews have been excellent. Alas, my battery is dying and I left my laptop power supply at home (I'm in Phoenix, AZ at a conference) so it will have to await my return. :( The Goddess Dances - Winner - Cheers to 10 Years Flash The Berry Girl - Third place - Summer Word Bank
