What's that noise, you're hearing right now?

there's something you've forgotten
and that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing

I don't know, nor do I care.

When did this place become a PG version of 'that' place?

When the regular crowd stopped keeping the popular threads alive, other people move in, with new threads they like.

It is not suitable for here, and no, it is not to be blamed on the regular crowd, either. This place has a long standing mandate and reputation for family oriented, friendly exchanges. Many of us, myself and Andrew included, have been here since the start, and knew of it BECAUSE of 'the other place'. This place not being a simulacrum of ANY OTHER place has long been a peaceful relief.

Let's return to that, and keep it so.

Moving right along now...

Why does the lovely season of spring bring with it the misery of allergies for so many of us?

No such thing ever existed, either oily or old.

No, you just dream and it does it itself. It does need emptying every so often, though.

How many books do you own that you've not read yet?

A cat can jump up to five times its own height.

You own 500 books that you have not read? Did you read that right?

*They're = they are
Their = belonging to.

And, yes, I would read someone a story if they were in hospital.

A dream I had just before waking this morning. My cat was still alive and had his claws hooked in my hand and wouldn't let go. Hurt like hell. It was something he used to do.

Same question, what was the most recent thing that scared you?

A kid on a skateboard flew out of nowhere right in front of me while I was driving yesterday. I'm sure he never realized how close he came to being hit, but the near miss certainly got my adrenalin pumping. I keep thinking about the what ifs: if he had started a second later, or if I had been going maybe one or two miles an hour faster, the result would have been tragic.

How do you calm yourself after such an experience?

OMG that's terrible! I'm so glad it was no worse than a close call.

After an experience like that, with adrenalin pumping, I'd need to have a glass of apricot juice. There is something in it that helps diminish the adrenalin surge. Orange juice is second best.

Which is messier, the top of your desk, or your desk top?

Do you mean 'a kitten' as a boxing trainer, or are you referring to a person called Kitten? The only person called Kitten I know, is my girlfriend, and the only boxing I want to do with her is tonsil boxing. If you're referring to a kitten, then why on earth would I do something so absurd? I'd kill the poor thing!

Oh, and to answer Gypsy's question, I'd say my desktop and top of my desk are about the same. I'm really very lazy. I should do some cleaning up on my desktop, though.

Are you lazy when it comes to cleaning/tidying?

Is your housekeeping style more in line with that of Felix Unger (fastidious) or Oscar Madison (slovenly), the roommates in the Odd Couple?
