Right this moment? The loud argument of my co-workers outside my office...I keep wondering if one of them will slip out a F* word.

Rihanna 'unfaithful'. (I don't care if you think she can't sing or don't like her. I just like her music.)

I hear the steady hum and whirl of the fan in my computer.
It's just past 6:30 am and I hear a single bird calling and welcoming another day with its sweet melody.
I hear the slow (very slow) steady clicking of the keys under my fingers.
I hear the steady background buzzing and ringing of Tinnitus. It's always there, but I don't usually notice it unless I listen.
Most importantly I still hear the screams, yells, and laughter of my grandchildren from watching them yesterday.

I can't decide if it's good or bad that the most prevalent sound is not ready a sound, but a memory.

You can't get there from here, because when you get there you're still here and here is now there.

Well... my computer's whistling at me again... and a song from Dear John, titled A Thousand Miles.

Funny... my computer is also whistling at me. It's quite flattering. Other than that, I'm listening to silence and the occasional "bip" of an IM sound. 'm off to bed now though, so it'll be silence and my brain going through some very pleasant scenarios, mostly involving a lot of sniggles.

Hm... lots of stuff... the whistling has stopped, sadly, but it'll start up again tomorrow, so yay, but as for current music, just got done listening to Manic Depression by Emilie Autumn- an instrumental she uses her electric violin in... it makes me very anxious, hence my newest poem: Anxiety... and now I have Not Ready to Make Nice by the Dixie Chicks on... next up is It Ends Tonight by All-American Rejects... and maybe another new poem.
