Good morning all. Snow is beginning to melt away, and the temp has climbed into the 40s, and baseball is near. Ah, Spring, you are near!
Gill, I understand the quiet of the empty nest now, but it's not bothering me (maybe because Talia is always stomping around :) ). I love waking up to an empty nest! So far, anyway. Maybe I'm just contrary.
Very few chores to do today. I have an outside chance of finishing a new story, about scary bat-like things pouring out of the crater of Mount Rainier!
I'd love one of Sara's cookies, and of course, coffee would hit the spot.

Just stopping by to say hi. I have so much to do today.
You can't get there from here, because when you get there you're still here and here is now there.

The sun is shining so Spring is in the air I think *moving the old cookies to the emergency cookie tins behind the counter and filling the cookie jars to the tippy top with fresh cookies * In Big Bird we have snickerdoodle, butterscotch sugar cookies, oatmeal peanut butter and toffee pecan drop cookies In Cookie Monster we have snickerdoodle , butterscotch sugar cookies, toffee pecan drop cookies, iced ginger cookies *giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats shaped like baseballs* Stay safe everyone!

Snickerdoodles or butterscotch sugar cookies, decisions, decisions. I'll take a few of each, thank you, Sarah. Not much going on, we had a coating of ice on everything so staying home to stay safe. In other words, the same thing I have been doing for almost a year. I did finish up going through the things my son left behind and changing the room back into a guestroom. I have three of them, now I need guests. I hope everyone is doing well. TGIF. Cheers!

We haven't got our spring vacation planned yet! (Oh right, border closed to non-essential traffic. Someday, maybe...) Happy Saturday, peoples! Was busy with work yesterday (we are upgrading our accounting system plus I was interviewing co-op students) so did not get a chance to pop by. A nice steaming pot of Coronation Street Tea (yes, that's a thing at my tea shop) is brewing. It's a nicely flavoured black tea that I discovered via a free sample included with a previous order. There's also a Coronation Street Green that I am trying with this order. The Goddess Dances - Winner - Cheers to 10 Years Flash The Berry Girl - Third place - Summer Word Bank

Tum ta tum tum tum... So the coffee is on the roil. Gonna be a nice brew. The water is ready for tea. My wife has had both of her Pfizer vaccine shots. I am still waiting for my first of any kind. I'm patient. Let's have a good day, dear friends. Please, be happy.

...and I'm so Janefogged that I messed up my coffee - too much water and not enough coffee. She's got me whipped, I guess. Somebody: You attract what you fear. Me: I'm terrified of Jane Lynch.

Mid-day greetings to we brave few, Spacers, taking up space here today. Xander, when it comes to women, with dang few exceptions, they have most of us guys whipped like the proverbial rented mule. So accept your fate and sweat it not. ;) If any baseball junky drops in, y'all let 'em know that the college baseball season is getting started today, though it will b fitfully for now. Thanks for the coffee, Larry and to Sarah for the cookies. Supposed to hit 75f out here in the desert. Think I'll take my goodies out to the patio. Later, Inspirators. She didn't want to go alone so I was a good friend and went with her I see a long afternoon nap in my future. *peeking in the cookie jars * Yay not too many cookie bandits! *giving the adorable mascots fresh water and treats * Yes I'm a college baseball junkie! Baseball junkie reporting as ordered, sir. We used to go to CSU Pueblo games. Now we are resigning ourselves to watching the Rocky Mountain Vibes, easily the worst team name ever. But the ballpark is close, and I love minor league ball, so I expect we will go. More importantly, the Mets are coming to Denver in mid-April, and I have already extracted a promise from Talia that we will go. Coffee would be a winner.

I have no idea what Verbs is talking about, but it must be interesting and intelligent, since he's saying it!
Cricket and rugby are my junkie sports of choice. *cue tumbleweed*
Those topped up cookies of Sara's are calling my name with a decaff tea to dunk them in.

Hey, if they are on the road, you can say you're sending the other team "Good Vibes". Yeah, that's bad. I have a headache. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. I'm having green tea and some cookies. Nothing in particular, just reaching in and grabbing some at random. Well, here we are, Spacers, deep inside the hallowed halls of Inspirations, an oasis of semi-sanity in a crazy world. As a special Sunday treat, the coffee pot has been rinsed out, then filled with medium roast 'breakfast blend' coffee. Water for bothe the pot and the kettle was obtained from a passing Ozarka delivery truck. Enjoy. The supply of Sarah's cookies is ample for today's needs, we can only hope. Y'all stay warm and safe. Me, I'm gonna grab some of Sarah's cookies, fill my mug with coffee and go flop down on a comfy chair near the heater to read about my LSU Tigers beating the Air Force Academy Falcons, 6-1 on the first day of the college baseball season. Later, Inspirators. OF WAR, AND PEACE, AND MARY BETH: my contest winner, honestFor Whom the Good Tolls an 'RR' and it's short, no kidding[/url]

Nicely done, Bill. That coffee pot needed a good scrubbing, I'll have a cup now that it is brewed. Cheers.

Thanks for the fresh cookies, Sara. I've just submitted a new microfiction for approval so I think Victor and I will take a nap. Take care, folks.

Hello, hello. A fresh pot of coffee is brewing. The water is hot. I just got a message from someone. I suppose it is my micro being approved. I will go check that out. I do think the coffee will be ready to serve when I get back.

Looking forward to reading the story, Larry. After a bad sleepless bout Saturday night, I slept about a million hours last night. Feel good, if a little groggy. Gonna try yet again to finish a story I tried to finish all last week. It just keeps getting longer (that's what she said) (sorry). First Spring training game is 6 days away! I'd love a coffee and a cookie.

Did someone mention 'fresh cookies'? Sounds like a winner to me. Between Larry's coffee and Sarah's cookies, no Spacers can go wrong. Verbal and other masters of micro and flash fiction might want to check out the new list in the Contests and Submissions forum of places looking for short poems and prose. As for me, the only thing short in my immediate future is the short work I'm gonna make of these cookies. Later, Inspirators. Morning has broken out here in the desert and folks from a slew of news outlets and government agencies are yelling about who the heck is gonna fix it. (sigh) The coffee pot has been de-crudedd, then rinsed out and filled with whatever coffee Mandella left under the counter then it and the tea kettle were filled with water from the garden hose someone dragged in but didn't drag out. Enjoy. Sarah having stopped by yesterday and checked on the cookie supply, there should be a plentitude of them available for customers to enjoy. Now with one hand full of cookies and the other holding a mug full of scalding hot coffee, I'll stumble my way over the the corner table and plop down in the comfy chair nearest the heater, and after treating the second degree burns on the hand that held my now slightly less full mug of the previously mentioned scalding hot coffee, I'll chew on a few restorative cookies and carefully sip the now somewhat less hot coffee. I'll be joining you, Bill. Me, I gotta let the coffee cool a little more. Victor has an appointment for his pedicure today to clip his nails, especially the dewclaws, They keep catching on his chew toy. I have an appointment on Wednesday morning for my first Pfizer vaccination out at the county fairgrounds. My wife has completed her series now I get to start mine.

Good morning everyone. I'd love a cookie, Sara.
Spent most of yesterday writing, and hope to spend most of today too. I'm gonna sit down at the table with Larry and Bill and read the paper for a bit first.
I hope everyone is doing well. Could I have a coffee please?
