In 1066, just before the battle of Hastings, King Harold was inspecting his army.
As he rode slowly along, inspecting the front rank, one of the archers dropped his longbow.
While the King watched, the archer bent down to pick it up but the arrows fell out of his quiver.
Now he was flustered, and as he picked them up, the fletch of one arrow caught in the bowstring and flicked it out of his hand.
The arrow flipped into the air and landed behind him.
King Harold turned to his master at arms and said;
"You better keep an eye on that one in the battle tomorrow, he'll have someone's eye out!" Lfunny
