Take home and bake thin-crust Italian sausage pizza.

All I'm saying is you've never seen me crying and eating tacos at the same time.

Freshly baked bread. I finally found some yeast.

What, please, is involved in making a hot bacon dressing?

eat

And could it be eaten with a spoon if there were no salad?

It is delicious. The recipe calls for apple cider vinegar but I like to use balsamic

.Hot Bacon Caprese Salad with Heirloom Tomatoes

INGREDIENTS
4 medium heirloom tomatoes sliced
2 8-ounce balls of fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
1 cup fresh basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
hot bacon dressing
3 tablespoons bacon fat
1 garlic clove minced
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 slices bacon crumbled

INSTRUCTIONS
Layer the tomatoes, mozzarella slices and fresh basil on a plate or platter however you would like. Season with the salt and the pepper. Drizzle with the hot bacon dressing serve immediately.
hot bacon dressing
Add the bacon grease, minced garlic, vinegar, sugar and mustard to a saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk constantly until the sugar has dissolved and the dressing slightly emulsifies. Season with the salt and pepper. Before serving, add in the crumbled bacon. You can keep this over low heat while stirring occasionally until ready to serve. I suggest reheating it in a saucepan like so. This is the combo I’ve come to love over the years, but you can experiment with different vinegars, more bacon fat and other spices too!

Some of my stuff.

Homemade pizzas.

A Pepperoni for some and a loaded for others. Pepperoni, ham, sausage, bacon, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, and black olives. I love the smell of fresh pizza dough mixed with all the other toppings being prepped. Mmm

Oh, drool! lol Pizza is my forever meal if I had to choose. So many options.

My one adventurous ingredient: I've put sliced potatoes tossed in olive oil and rosemary around the edge of the crust. Gets all nice and crispy. Yum! Okay, not so adventurous... happy8

As it happens, I had pizza tonight. Store bought, though. Still delicious. It was the first pizza I've had since the pandemic hit.

Depending on what cereal you have in the cupboard, that's not a bad option. I've had a few Cheerios al Fresco evenings in my time.eat
