For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12

Yesterday was a beautiful winter's day, fine and sunny as could be. The day before was horrendous. Cold as and rain storms with only brief respites as the angels ran off to refill their buckets. So the day before yesterday I stayed indoors, fearful of venturing out for a soaking, cancelling work and moving it forward to yesterday.

Momentarily I had forgotten how much I love the rain, even when in overabundant supply. There is something about a city in heavy rain. The cleansing the rain brings. The fresh smell. The emptiness as it drives peeps from the sidewalks. A city in the rain is very romantic. What a waste of a day!

I love and whole heartedly agree with this sentiment, Hayley. A rainy city can be such a beautiful place to be, especially as the light is fading and the street lamps are just coming on. The light from the shop windows reflecting on the rain soaked pavements... Sigh.

Today is one of the most satisfying days I have had in over two years! I won a court case I really didn't expect to win and now I am chilling out with a glass of Woods Old Navy rum (with cola), I have Santana playing and I have my SS friends here and so, for now at least, I am at peace with the world. love7

This afternoon I took a drive into the hills where I encountered a reservoir some two miles from my home.
I have lived in this area for twenty years and I have never seen it so low. It appeared little more than a puddle. If it starts raining now it will take a hell of a long time to refill!
